Trail Guide to Cuyahoga Valley National Park
By the Cuyahoga Valley Trails Council, review by Mary Reed
This is not a hiking guide. Trail Guide to Cuyahoga Valley National Park covers all trail activities – hiking, biking, skiing and horseback riding – in Ohio’s only national park. And it’s not a “best of” selection, either; this is a comprehensive guide to every trail in the park. So hats off to our neighbors to the north. Northeast Ohioans love their trails and this books shows it. Good trail maps, detailed descriptions, photos, best of lists and historical information round out the information presented in this paperback that’s just the right size to stow away in your day pack. The Cuyahoga Valley Trails Council (www.cvtrailscouncil.org) is a nonprofit group that’s been around since 1985. Their first edition of this book came out in 1991. This third edition shows that they’re on top of things. So if you enjoy the trails of the Cuyahoga Valley, support the group with your own membership or by buying this book.
