95-pound Catfish
“Today I had the pleasure of weighing the largest Blue catfish I have ever seen caught…” said Harry Scott, Lake Isabella Harbor Manager. On Saturday, November 7 Scott was witness to the largest fish ever caught in Hamilton County Park District history.
Dwight Kidwell Jr. of Loveland has been fishing at Lake Isabella since he was a kid and had the great joy of catching a record breaking catfish that weighed in at a whopping 95 pounds, a near record even in the state of Ohio! Kidwell used a Trout head for bait. It took him 40 minutes to land the fish and it took two men to pick it up and put it in a net to weigh it. After taking some great photos of the fish, it was released back into Lake Isabella alive and well.

Loved going to Lake Isabella
Loved going to Lake Isabella as a kid. Never fished there but loved to swim. Great place for picknicking and the only place where I ever played bingo. :) Nice catch!
